Free yourself and discover the you that can be...
Welcome to Matrix Hypnotherapy
Not magic, not mind control but a natural, safe and reliable method of treatment for a great many problems from fears and phobias to pain control and stress relief. It uses no drugs, has no harmful side effects, is non-addictive, is pain free and is suitable for just about everyone. Hypnotherapy uses the incredible power of our unconscious minds to help us 're-programme' ourselves to deal with our challenges.
You are capable of more than you think...
You are a wonderful, amazing person, capable of incredible things ...if only you would believe in yourself. If you bothered to sit and think about it you could probably come up with at least two or three things that you are proud of - skills, attitudes, personal traits, willpower, energy etc. If you asked friends and family they'd probably come up with a much longer list. A whole armoury of useful resources for dealing with life's challenges.
The trouble is that what goes on in our heads affects affects the way we behave and when it comes to the crunch, if we don't see ourselves as capable then we won't be capable - we need to see it to believe it (see the story below for an example of this). Hypnotherapy can help people to visualise success before they get it - that way the power is unlocked for them. The best way I can illustrate this is with a story...
How often do you get to
the end of the week and feel worn out? I certainly have come across a number of
clients who describe coming home from work on a Friday evening and
slumping into a chair feeling physically and mentally exhausted. I don’t
doubt that they ‘feel’ exhausted but of course they aren’t! Thankfully,
there are very few jobs nowadays that really do result in total exhaustion. So, there they are, slumped in an armchair, barely able to dial for a take-out. Struggling to make it to the fridge for a cold beer or that much needed glass of wine. If I ask them how much energy they have in them, what would they say? Do they feel energetic? Do they have any reserves of energy? Here's my test... Imagine they are slumped in their armchair on Friday night and they see their Euro Lottery numbers come
up on TV - making them £10M better off! Would they still feel totally drained? Would they remain slumped in their
armchair, physically exhausted? I'm guessing not, in fact I'm pretty sure that they would be
up and dancing. Would they still feel too mentally exhausted to even
speak to anyone? No way, they’d be laughing all the way down the street
and they’d be ‘phoning everyone they knew. As they burst through the
doors of their local shouting, “drinks all round”, would they feel exhausted or
invigorated?
So where did the energy come from? Did it enter their bodies miraculously or was it there all the time - simply hidden from their conscious mind? Of course, there's no magic involved, the ability, the resources, the energy - it was there all along, they just didn't know how to unlock it. This is a very common theme with hypnotherapy - the client feels helpless, feels unable to deal with the challenge, until the minute they ‘learn’ how they can access the hidden resources they already had. Then, with that new knowledge, the whole situation changes for them.
Naturally curious and anxious...
Although hypnotherapy is becoming increasingly popular and mainstream - including usage within the NHS and through GP recommendations - people still have all sorts of ideas, concerns and emotions running through their minds when they are thinking about hypnotherapy. Sometimes it's the fear of being made to feel silly, sometimes it's not knowing whether to put faith into something that seems so strange, sometimes it's the stress of finally facing up to an issue that has been nagging at them for years. I know that most of my clients have felt that uncertainty and nervousness - it's perfectly natural to be a little anxious about being bold and taking the next step. But I also know that they never regret it. They are amazed at the results - amazed at what they are capable of.
For this reason I'm happy to have a genuine no obligation chat - to understand your concerns, answer any questions you might have, and to explain more about how hypnotherapy might help you.
